Maurice Penick, founder and president of Penick Construction, Inc., began his career in masonry in 1978 with just himself and a masonry helper. As years progressed, it became evident that in order to deliver a higher quality job, we needed to expand the business to include grading and excavation divisions.

By expanding our scope of work to include grading and excavation, this has enabled us to provide a turn key operation. We have found that this  delivers less stress to the homeowner, allowing them the ease of working with one subcontractor as opposed to several. 

Starting in the early 1990s, we found more and more customers wanting energy efficient, basement areas for living space. Now, the company is able to provide many means of constructing walls that will meet this challenge; whether it be concrete block, or insulated concrete forms.
